Volt Power Analytics'
Pan-European Model
- Instant market insights
- No lock-in
- Customizable to your needs
Our power market model gives clients insight into the European power market towards either 2030 (forward traded horizon) or until 2050 (long-term investment analysis) with a full weather-risk spread of 30 weather years.
Your new market leading model
Our base case is just the starting point, users adjust the input they want. 30 historical weather years (1991-2020)
are set up as a basis, the model can easily be adjusted to handle 40+ weather years.
Nordic (including system price), CWE, Great Britain++ price areas in Europe simulated in one model. This means that the renewable boom in Continental Europe and Nordic hydro water values are accounted for in the same model, capturing the increased price volatility.
We also include an initial set up for the German market split, Dutch and British market split.
With full-scale hourly resolution, full thermal stack modelling for Continental price areas is now more accurately accounted for in our model.
Together with state-of-the-art Nordic hydropower water value stochastic dynamic programming and increased renewable generation, we believe our model, built around the EMPS is a leading tool to help our clients navigate the energy transition.
Features
Your fastest model runs
- Start a model run within minutes: A fully automated Python-programmed model, built around the EMPS engine (model version 10.7), with full logging to file as we go.
- Structured model input and output stored in a standardized database, making model runs easy to compare.
- Code to simply extract output data from the simulation, including 30 weather year data for consumption (inelastic, elastic, electrolyser), production from all generation types (hydro, wind, solar PV, gas, coal, nuclear, etc).
No lock-in contracts
- No annual agreements, rolling 3 month access as a standard.
- Gain access with minimal risk, subscribe with a three month exit period.
- Plug and play – no downloads, no extensive set ups. A complete dataset giving access to a fully calibrated, plugand-play model from day one.
- Full assistance and documentation to get you started.
- Access to the Volt Power Analytics Portal included in the agreement.
Your assumptions modelled
- Renewable capacity trajectories per price area.
- Consumption trajectories (split into inelastic, elastic and electrolyser) per price area.
- Gas, CO2 and commodity prices, Nuclear and thermal capacity assumptions.
- Interconnector capacity development
per border. - Add “dummy”/synthetic UMMS for sensitivity runs.
