Over the next weeks we’ll be taking applications for Summer Internships at Volt Power Analytics. Below are some of our stories from our previous year’s interns.
Stine Marit Nicolaisen – Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU)
During my summer internship at Volt Power Analytics, I had the chance to dive into the world of electricity markets in Norway and Europe. I was part of a close-knit team who guided me through the fast-paced and complex landscape with their invaluable experience.
I got to contribute to creating market models and had the opportunity to implement them in Python.
This experience helped me boost both my analytical and technical skills. I’m grateful for being trusted with meaningful tasks that made a real impact on the company. This was a huge factor for my own development and motivation, and has made it especially rewarding to see the growth Volt Power Analytics have experienced.
Erling August Eriksen – Norwegian School of Economics (NHH)
Studying economics at NHH, I undertook a summer internship with Volt. This experience pushed me beyond my core knowledge. Before the summer of 2023, my understanding of the energy sector was limited. In six weeks, however, I learned a great deal. There’s a lot more to embrace, but I’m eager to learn from the top power market analysts. Now, working part-time with Volt, I’m gaining further insight into the energy sector a improving my Python programming skills.
William Bjønness – Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU)
As a previous intern at Volt I was able to connect theory with practice in the domains of engineering, economics and programming applied to renewables. Fortunately, after my internship finished, I was offered a full-time position as a power market analyst.
